 One of the most important must-do activities in Ayangue is diving. We work with a certified PADI center to offer a variety of tours for every level. One of the most popular tours are Eagle Ray season in July, a visit to the underwater Christ and/or to the wrecked ship.

Our paragliding lane is located in San Pedro, a 1 minute drive from the lodge. The activity is supervised by certified national and international instructors.Here you can slide through the wind over the ocean and enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific.

If you are not sure about submerging too deep underwater but still have a great love for the ocean, then our snorkeling tour is for you. This tour will take you to the underwater Christ and admire the beauties of the ocean from above. Please check with us for availability

If you want some jungle adventure before heading home, this tour is for you. The trail to the "Dos Mangas" Forest is located about half and hour from Ayangue and can be performed on horseback or by walking. You can visit a set of natural pools in the midst of the rain forest or take the longer route to a set of cascades.

Whale watching season starts from mid june to the first half of September. This tour will take you to experience the coming of scores of humpback whales to the warm waters of Ecuador. Whales migrate each year to the south to mate and give birth to their new generation.

If you are interested in the region's history and culture, Valdivia's archaelogical museum is one of the must-go places. Here you will be able to see vessels and certain other objects from the Valdivia Culture, one of the more ancient ones in America.  The Valdivia culture existed from aprox. 3500 BC to the 1800AD. Please reserve in advance for an english speaking guide.
